Connor, all the answers I got are the same as yours except for number 8. I think symbolism is somehow involved because the word worsted refers to very roughly woven yarn or twine. Perhaps this is the very same yarn that the two women were weaving. Perhaps it may be the yarn of the sailors...I think it is a symbol...but like you, I cannot figure out what for.
